МCО «KMF» is guided in its activity by social responsibility principle and takes an active part in community life. Our projects can be divided into three areas:
From its inception (1997) till present KMF follows goal-oriented uniform policy in the sphere of sponsoring physical culture and sports and takes part in children’s football development in the republic by supporting children and youth football teams.
During the last five years the company actively participates in preparing and conducting Republic tournament on freestyle wrestling among youth to win KMF prize.
Company provides charity support to children from poor families, boarding schools, sponsors socially-important programs all over Kazakhstan. KMF co-financed project implemented by the order of the Head of State - construction of Children’s house and House for disabled children in the village Pervomayskoye in Almaty oblast.
Conference traditionally organized by KMF in Shymkent city from year to year becomes all the more popular among women-entrepreneurs not only from South-Kazakhstan oblast, but also from other regions of Kazakhstan. One of the main Conference aims is communication and exchange of experience, strengthening woman’s role not only in the family and community, but also in business.
Every year KMF jointly with the Assembly of Kazakhstan celebrates “Day of Kazakhstani nations’ languages” as a tribute to nations living in the republic. At present company clients are representatives of over 32 nationalities. Each nation has its own culture, interesting traditions and customs and this event is a good platform to tell and show the way different nations live. Both company staff and their family members take part in this event, and, certainly clients, invited as guests.
Every year on the eve of the 9th of May the Company renders financial charity support to veterans of the Great Patriotic war. Solemn meetings and festive lunches are held in all company branches where veterans are presented gifts and financial support. The company also supports veterans’ initiatives and assists in arranging visits to burial places.
Social and environmental issues are among the most pressing issues in the modern world as by resolving or, on the contrary, by ignoring them we determine our future.
Therefore, the Company does not remain on the sidelines and is actively involved in various environmental promotions, onsite visits and events. Employees of the Company support the socio-environmental projects of urban and national scale, they participate in such events as trees planting, cleaning the springs, relishing of areas near the offices. Besides, the fruitful cooperation with international organizations allows the Company to participate in international projects and initiatives.
At the end of 2014, KMF developed and approved the Social and Environmental Management System (SEMS) Policy, which subsequently has been transformed into the SEMS Methodology. SEMS Methodology is developed in accordance with the international laws and regulations, laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, internal policies and procedures of MFO "KMF" LLC and regulates SEMS principles.
SEMS's goal is to ensure objective review of social and environmental risks, mitigate environmental and social risks when financing our clients.
In the course of its business activity KMF complies with the requirements of the basic principles in the field of environmental protection: priority of protecting human life and health, preserving and restoring the environment favorable for human life, work and leisure, preventing potential harm to the environment.
Since June 2016, KMF has been participating in the EBRD's Women in Business program. Women in Business program co-financed by EBRD and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan provides support to women-led small and medium-sized enterprises. The program implemented by EBRD offers financing, know-how, coaching and mentoring.
The first loan in the amount of KZT 3.8 billion was disbursed to KMF in two tranches of KZT 1.88 billion each. Entrepreneurship Development Fund “Damu” was a guarantor under this loan. 9,798 loans were disbursed to women entrepreneurs.
A year later, the agreement was signed to continue financing of the Women in Business program for the total amount of about KZT 2 billion.
